SPARTANBURG, S.C. (BFMG) — Authorities are investigating a double homicide at Hometown Studios on Mobile Drive in Spartanburg County.
Two individuals were found shot to death at the extended stay hotel, according to law enforcement sources.
A female suspect is in custody and is believed to have made the initial 911 call reporting the incident.
The person who placed the 911 call was located at Spruce Street Apartments and transported to the sheriff’s office to be interviewed according to WHNS.
Investigators have not yet released details about the victims or a possible motive for the shootings according to sources.
Officials have indicated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The identities of the victims and the suspect have not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin and further investigation.
Residents in the area are urged to remain vigilant, and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
