FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. (BFMG) — A Greensboro man is accused of driving across Georgia to entice an 11-year-old girl into sexual acts, then kidnapping and abusing her before returning her to a location near her home.
Timothy Alan Bailey, 23, was arrested in Floyd County and is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he used electronic messages to target the child, then traveled to meet her.
According to arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records, Bailey sent the girl sexually explicit messages and images, then went to a street near her residence, put her in his car and drove away. Authorities say he transported her to another location in Floyd County and sexually abused her.
Warrants state Bailey later dropped the child off near her home after learning she had been reported missing and that law enforcement was searching for her.
Bailey is charged with interference with custody of a child, obscene internet contact with a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes, kidnapping a minor and aggravated child molestation. He is being held without bond at the Floyd County Jail ahead of pretrial proceedings.
