GREENVILLE, S.C. (BFMG) — A man has been arrested and charged following a bank robbery earlier this month at a United Community Bank branch, according to police.
On Nov. 1, Greenville Police Department (GPD) officers responded to reports of a robbery at 470 Haywood Road. Investigators determined that a man dressed in a white jumpsuit handed a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect fled the area after being given a large sum of cash.
Police later identified the suspect as Deonte Jacquez Bell, 28. Bell was taken into custody and has been charged with bank robbery, authorities said.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police have not disclosed whether the stolen cash was recovered.
