Jackson, Tenn. (BFMG) — The identity of the suspect apprehended following a violent altercation inside the Slim Chickens restaurant on Channing Way in Jackson January 21, that left one man dead and two others injured has finally been released. The incident, which unfolded around 6:30 p.m., resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old restaurant employee, Harrison Cobb, who now faces charges of first-degree murder.
Incident Overview
According to a press release from the Jackson Police Department, the altercation began when a group of individuals entered the restaurant and walked into the kitchen area, where they physically assaulted Cobb. In response, Cobb retrieved a handgun and began firing at the group. One of the individuals, identified as 32-year-old Andretti Siddell, sustained injuries that rendered him immobile but alive at the time.
Authorities revealed that after Siddell was no longer a physical threat, Cobb continued to fire at him, ultimately resulting in Siddell’s death. Two other individuals in the group sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. The entire event was captured on video surveillance, which is being used as evidence in the investigation.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Cobb was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with first-degree murder. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Jackson City Court on Friday morning.
