RACELAND, La. (BFMG) — Ken Urker, the partner of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and father of their daughter, was found dead Thursday, Oct. 1, at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, authorities said. He was 34.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the residence after receiving a call around 6:15 p.m. Authorities identified him as Kenan Urker and said the investigation into his death remained ongoing. A cause of death was not immediately released.
Urker was found unresponsive on his birthday, according to PEOPLE, which cited a source close to the family. TMZ first reported his death.
TMZ reported that Blanchard sent Urker a birthday text but received no response. Her brother, Dylan, later discovered him at the home, according to the outlet’s family sources.
Urker’s sister, Autumn, also confirmed his death during a TikTok livestream Thursday evening, PEOPLE reported. She said his last words to her were, “I love you.”
Urker and Blanchard welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, in December 2024. Their relationship began through prison correspondence while Blanchard was incarcerated for her role in the 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
The pair became engaged in 2018 before separating. During their years apart, Blanchard married Ryan Anderson. She was released from prison in December 2023 and announced her separation from Anderson in March 2024.
Blanchard and Urker rekindled their relationship in April 2024. Their reunion and transition into parenthood became part of the story documented in Lifetime’s “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.”
