Volusia County, FL (BFMG) — A Florida woman and her boyfriend have been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking a man with a hatchet on a beach, according to authorities.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reported that on October 30, a deputy was flagged down by a frantic, shirtless man in Ormond-by-the-Sea. The man, bleeding heavily from his right leg and other parts of his body, told the deputy he had been assaulted on the beach by two individuals, later identified as 24-year-old Wayne Streeter of Ormond Beach and 18-year-old Alana Cagle of Daytona Beach.

The victim stated he had agreed to meet Cagle at the beach, where she had proposed tying him up and engaging in sexual activity. Upon arrival, he became uneasy when he noticed Streeter approaching. Attempting to leave, the victim was allegedly tackled by Streeter and struck multiple times by Cagle with a hatchet according to PEOPLE.
Both Streeter and Cagle were arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. They were released the following day after posting $5,000 bonds each. It is unclear whether they have retained attorneys who can speak on their behalf.
The investigation is ongoing, as the two face their next court date on Nov. 26.
