BONNEAU, S.C. (BFMG) — A Berkeley County mother is accused of allowing multiple men to sexually assault her two young daughters in exchange for money and illegal drugs, according to arrest documents.
Helena Nichole Hoyle, 27, was arrested Aug. 14 by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) and charged with two counts of trafficking persons and two counts of child neglect.
Deputies were contacted Aug. 3 about the reported sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl, according to the documents(.pdf). Investigators interviewed two children, ages 4 and 7, who said they had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by multiple unidentified men on separate occasions.
The arrest affidavit alleges Hoyle allowed the men access to the children in exchange for money and illegal drugs.
The 4-year-old child was unable to provide the same level of detail as her older sister because of her age, investigators wrote. However, she told deputies that multiple men had inappropriately touched both children and that she witnessed her sister being sexually assaulted.
Hoyle remained held in the Berkeley County jail as of Aug. 18. Her bond was set at $250,000.
