COLUMBUS, Ohio (BFMG) — An Ohio woman is facing child endangerment charges after hospital staff allegedly saw her injecting feces into her child’s IV line, according to police.
Authorities said 35-year-old Tiffany Le Sueur was observed by hospital staff on Feb. 6 injecting a “foreign substance” into her child’s intravenous line. Staff contacted police immediately after witnessing the incident.
Investigators said surveillance footage from the child’s hospital room showed Le Sueur entering the bathroom with a cup, then returning with a syringe. The video allegedly showed her injecting what appeared to be fecal matter into the IV line attached to the child’s left hand.
Le Sueur was charged with child endangerment and appeared in court Tuesday. A judge ordered that she have no unsupervised contact with minors as a condition of her bail according to WTVG.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
